Artesyn Embedded Technologies' AC/DC power adapter combines efficient and fast charging in a small package with USB-PD (Power Delivery) 3.0 type c output connector. The DA45C has four output voltage levels, 5 V, 9 V, 15 V and 20 V, and the output current is up to 5 A. This makes the output power up to 45 watts, which can be used to charge laptops, tablets, smartphones and other USB-PD compatible consumer electronics.

Original Equipment Manufacturers (oems) can use these wall mounted adapters to meet DOE's Energy Class VI and European Code of Conduct (CoC) V5's Tier 2 directive efficiency standards. These standards are intended to reduce energy waste from external power sources during no-load and normal operation. The standby power of Artesyn DA45C series is less than 75 mW at 5 V (DC), and the average load efficiency at 20 V (DC) exceeds 88%.
These adapters have enhanced insulation 3000 V (alternating current (RMS)) and additional safety features such as protection against overvoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and overheating conditions. Encapsulated in a compact 58mm x 40.2mm x 27mm package (without pins), external power can be supplied with socket style pins from the United States, Europe, or China.
