ROHM semiconductor BD71631QWZ is a linear charger for low charging voltage batteries. The battery charging voltage, charging current and terminal current are set through external resistance. BD71631QWZ has adjustable terminal current from 50 μ A to 10 mA and low quiescent battery current. There is an NTC thermistor at the input terminal for temperature qualified charging and an open drain charging indicator LED output. The protection includes a fixed 10 hour safety timer, hot shutdown, lockout protection under voltage, and battery overvoltage protection. BD71631QWZ is very suitable for low-voltage batteries and lithium ion batteries.
