   ROHM has released buck DC-DC converter ICS with built-in MOSFETs, BD9G500EFJ-LA and BD9F500QUZ to support high voltages and currents in factory automation equipment, including PLC/inverter and 5G base stations for managing high power.

     The company recently developed A DC-DC converter IC that supports higher voltages and currents. Using vertically integrated production systems and advanced power supply processes, power ics are developed for industrial markets where reliability and long-term supply are as important as product characteristics

    The device is a non-isolated DC-DC converter developed using proprietary analog design techniques based on the high voltage BiCDMOS power supply process to provide power functions needed for increasingly complex industrial equipment.

     The BD9G500EFJ-LA with built-in MOSFEts not only provides first-class 80V voltage resistance for 48V power supply systems, but also provides the largest output current in its class (5A), adding higher reliability and functionality in charging and managing high-power 5G base stations. At the same time, the BD9F500QUZ with built-in nanopulse control technology achieves a high buck ratio, providing a 39V voltage withstand and 5A output current in a compact, low-profile package (3mm x 3mm x 0.4mm).

     In addition, the product also has overcurrent protection function, optional SEL1/SEL2 pin. These features are excellent for 24V power systems - allowing for higher functionality and greater miniaturization in a variety of advanced industrial equipment.

     Examples of bD9G500EFJ-LA applications include 48V power supply systems, including servers requiring 48V level power input, charging stations, and power amplifiers for 5G base stations; Electric bicycles, power tools and other applications requiring 48V/60V power input; Household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, washing machines, and other applications where motors are exposed to large surge voltages; And for BD9F500QUZ 24V power supply system, covering monitoring cameras and PLC, inverter and other factory automation equipment that need 24V power input; Seeders for low voltage control systems, including FPGas and soCs installed in a variety of industrial equipment.
